General Summary

The Sales Administrator is responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day administrative and analytical tasks for the sales department. This individual will be required to communicate with the customers, sales team, credit and collections staff, and operations to monitor, review, and process concrete, asphalt, and aggregate tickets while administering the department s software system. Professional communication skills must be exhibited at all times. The position will perform a variety of high visibility initiatives to increase the effectiveness of our sales team, while enhancing strong customer retention and relationships, and working under absolute confidentiality. In this position routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. Standard practices or procedures allow the employee to proceed alone at routine work. There is an occasional check of work while in progress and work is reviewed upon completion. This position will use independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives and results. The individual will practice absolute confidentiality and have a strong work ethic.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable with a fast paced, high pressure environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to question processes in order to improve programs and operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate degree (A.A.) from a two year college or equivalent preferred. Two (2) years of related experience and/or training required. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered

Certification, Licenses, Registration:

Current North Carolina Driver s License required
