Overview:
Location: Mt. Sterling, IL Department: Human Resources - Safety Reports To: Director of Safety

Your Role:
Develops, monitors, and provides support to initiatives designed to create and maintain a safe work environment for warehouse employees.
  • Uploading and updating of documents in our injury management system
  • Auditing and stocking of all first aid kits at the Mt. Sterling facility
  • Auditing and online updating of our safety data sheets
  • Assist with scheduling and conducting internal safety audits at various locations
  • Near miss report tracking and analysis
  • Revising written policies and procedures
  • Maintaining safety scorecards and updating end of period reporting
  • Developing and presenting safety training materials as needed
  • Creating work instructions for departmental tasks

Role Specifics:
  • Schedule – Full time, 40 hours weekly, occasional night and weekend work as needed
  • Travel – Overnight travel (5-10 nights per year) to company locations or to attend seminars and meetings to develop professional expertise. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Qualifications:
We Need You To Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility to handle multiple demands of the work.
We’d Like You To Have:
  • Experience in a safety related position.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Experience in providing group presentations.
  • Ability to interact well with employees at all levels of the organization
