Job Description


In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Front Desk/Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this position, you will greet visitors and walk them through registration, make sure the reception area adheres to regulations, and provide support to associates in the event of an emergency
. The role requires adept people skills—as you will be visitors’ first point of contact—in addition to expert organizational skills and timeliness to accomplish various administrative tasks, such as CCTV monitoring. The ideal candidate has training in CPR and first aid, as well as a knack for juggling multiple tasks to ensure our customers and other Lakeshore associates have all the assistance they need. The position is on-site at our Carson, CA, headquarters; from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (with an occasional Saturday). A valid driver’s license is required for consideration.

A day in the office looks like this:

  • Greeting, registering, and directing visitors within Lakeshore HQ
  • Providing excellent customer service to visitors, associates, and vendors
  • Keeping a safe and clean reception area; complying with procedures and regulations
  • Responsible for opening facility procedures, burglary and fire system support and response
  • Reporting incidents found while reviewing ThinkLP, Verizon Connect GPS, and CCTV
  • Conducting building operations’ daily audits
  • Conducting Safety Audits on company Incident Reporting Center
  • Monitoring progress of building facilities projects
  • Opening the facility each day
  • Overseeing incoming and outgoing package deliveries and department notifications
  • Providing safety, communication, and emergency support for Kids & Co., Lakeshore’s own childcare center
  • Participating as a member of the Safety Committee

Qualifications


Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Proven customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and basic Windows
  • Familiarity with CCTV surveillance, as well as burglary and fire system functionality and testing, preferred
  • CPR/first aid certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License required
