We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative ( experienced with tobacco preferred) to provide excellent customer service here at Marley's Smokeshop & Vape. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied. The job may require you to work at multiple locations in our network: Tamarac, Plantation or Boca Raton, FL.
A Retail Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers as they shop within a store. Their duties include greeting customers, answering questions related to the merchandise and store policies and locating items for customers.
A Retail Sales Associate also helps customers find merchandise and purchase products in a store. Their duties include ensuring the store is appropriately stocked with merchandise, assisting customers as needed and performing transactions like sales and returns.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store
- Assessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their problems
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
- Working with cash registers to ring up sales and process payments
- Giving customers advice about sales and promotions
- Using upselling techniques to increase store sales
- Recommending the best products to customers
- Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing
- Inviting customers to search the company’s social media for coupons/ special discounts an dup-to-date promotions ( if instructed )
- Assisting in maintaining the back stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor
- Collaborating with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times
- Stay up-to-date with knowledge about new products/services
Skills and Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Cheerful working attitude
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (Day, Night, Weekend)
- Ability to upsell
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Reliability and work commitment is a non-negotiable
