The Reporting Analyst is responsible for analyzing the consumer data, value, competitive intelligence, and financial statistics of the assigned client program to determine current status versus metrics and suggest methods of improvement. The Reporting Analyst interprets results using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation and statistical analysis to complex data mining. The Reporting Analyst will work closely with internal and client project teams and will report directly to the program Senior Analyst. Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the retail and 3PL fields is a plus. The ability to work independently without direct supervision, meet strict timelines, and ensure precision and accuracy in all reporting deliverables is paramount.

What will you do?

  • Analyze client program's Key Performance Indicators: Sell-thru performance targets, in-store market share targets, targeted recommendation rates, excellence in merchandising quality, display compliance, break/fix SLA analysis
  • Perform analysis on sales data
  • Use sound statistical methods to accurately identify control stores and measure sales performance
  • Track employee performance and reports for multiple projects
  • Track and report project profitability
  • Assist data team with various data related requests
  • Share knowledge of analysis techniques and data with leadership teams
  • Compile weekly business reports
  • Participation in the development of PowerPoint presentations

What experience and technical skills should you have?

  • 3 years of relevant reporting or quantitative business analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant combination of quantitative education and experience
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office software with strong emphasis utilizing Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Business Intelligence software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
  • Familiar with SQL (writing SQL queries), ODBC Data Access
  • Experience with data visualization techniques and presentation
  • Demonstrates high degree of business acumen and detail orientation
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills to interface with corporate and client teams
  • Positive attitude and the ability to engage well with co-workers, customers, vendors, and other collaborators
  • Ability to multi-task and work productively in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines
