**This position will work labor/delivery and mom/baby with the potential to cross-train as an OB Technician.**

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 Year / Associate Degree Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum
• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Preferred
• 1 - 3 Years Preferred
• Assessment (Minimum proficiency)
• Critical Thinking/Reasoning (Minimum proficiency)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact Minimum Upon Hire
• Healthcare Provider CPR – (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) Minimum 7 Days
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Minimum 180 Days
• ACLS Minimum 180 Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Uses the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/plan, implementation, evaluation) to plan and provide individualized patient care
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, peers and other healthcare colleagues
• Identify process issues that create barriers to effective patient care and provide feedback to potential resolution ideas
• Be a team player who is also able to autonomously complete their expected duties
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills, bed side manner and the ability to communicate and build relationships with the patient, patient’s family members and other colleagues
