Our Regional Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Leader is the EHS subject matter authority for our organization. This role will have network responsibility for nine distribution centers/warehouses throughout the US and Canada. As the EHS champion, you will work with all levels of management and hourly team members to teach, mentor and coach through regulation and policy for EHS services and ensure our success in these areas.

This is a full time opportunity and will require onsite work daily in Lebanon, Indiana.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate the organization's environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations.
  • Investigate accidents, develop recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrence, and promote safety conscious work performance and training programs aligned with policies.
  • Assist in pollution prevention and waste minimization programs through periodic monitoring and technical guidance.
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare related reports and studies for submission to regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct safety audits, studies and investigations to ensure compliance with government safety and health laws, standards and regulations, and industrial hygiene.
  • Represent the business for internal and external auditing processes.

The salary range for this position is $93,000 to $142,000 annually. (Actual salary offered will vary and will be based on several factors including skills, experience and qualifications for the role.)

Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in a relevant field with at least five (5) years of safety and/or environmental experience in a manufacturing or distribution/warehouse environment; OR
  • HS Diploma with at least ten (10) years of safety and/or environmental experience in a manufacturing or distribution/warehouse environment
  • Ability to travel roughly eight (8) weeks per year (US and Canada)
The ideal candidate will have:
  • In depth knowledge of OSHA and Environmental regulations and guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and lead multiple tasks concurrently
  • Knowledge or experience within a lean and continuous improvement environment
