Rice Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Radiology Technologist , Full Time

No call or weekends required.

• Rotating schedule with 6 days off every other week.
• No Weekends required.
• No regularly scheduled call.
• Schedule example: Tech 1 would do Sun, Mon, Tues then Tech 2 would do Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sun, Mon, Tues then Tech 1 would do Wed, Thurs and Fri and so on
• Sunday 9pm-7am, Monday 4:30pm-7:30am, Tuesday 4:30pm-7:30am, Wednesday 4:30pm-7:30am, Thursday 4:30pm-7:30am, Friday 3pm-11pm.

The Radiologic Technologist is an experienced Technologist who completes a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures to include X-ray, OR and CT exams of moderate to high complexity utilizing digital radiography. A member of the direct patient care team is fully competent in all aspects of various radiology procedures. Works independently exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures and patient care situations. Provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic procedures. Delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to radiation standards and guidelines established by radiology agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. In addition, the position requires the individual to be in charge of the department in the absence of the Director and to be responsible for specific areas of instruction with students and ancillary personnel. As a night shift tech, working with the ER staff would be required including some registration of patients, helping out where needed and performing all EKG’s ordered. The radiology department functions are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Radiology.

Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology Technologist with a license of American Registry of Radiology Technologist and Medical Radiology Technologist. Associates Degree preferred. CPR certification required. Experience preferred.
