What You Will Do...

  • Establishes, maintains, and continuously improves the local and Americas Business Excellence System.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments to meet plant and customer requirements, troubleshoot and correct problematic areas.
  • Manages, budgets, and develops Quality Department, technicians, methods, workload, and systems.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of the Business Excellence System (BES) and monitors, reports, and advises on how the system is performing against set parameters. Provides leadership and direction on continual improvement. Leads the efforts of ISO 9001, RC 14001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, AS 9100 as applicable to the site. Ensures proper implementation and adherence to North American policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the BES.
  • Monitors, analyzes, evaluates, and reports on the overall effectiveness of the Business Excellence system and key Quality indicators. Suggests and facilitates opportunities to improve.
  • Develops and implements long term Quality plans, annual Quality goals and specific Quality metrics that support the overall site and business goals and ensures objectives are met. Assigns continual improvement projects to operations, quality and/or manufacturing departments.
  • Leads internal ISO audits across the Americas sites; manages, plans, schedules, and coordinates team activities, identifies nonconformances, and develops and approves final audit reports.
  • Manages and Leads the Quality Team. Ensures KPI’s, Staffing levels, Scheduling, Training, Reviews, Discipline, Capacity, Schedule, and Communication for MediTECH and Industrial departments are effective for the daily business needs.
  • Participates in site specific compliance activities while supporting the North American Product Compliance process.
  • Facilitate quality awareness and education throughout the site and the Americas. Provide training in Quality Assurance, Problem-Solving, Auditing and Quality Systems. Supports data driven decision making techniques.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of internal audits, corrective/preventative actions, the handling of customer returns/complaints, and provides timely responses to issues.
  • Manages site customer issues and is the Key Quality contact with respect to customer calls, site visits and traveling to the customer sites as necessary.
  • Supports deployment of NA Continuous Improvement initiative. Leads quality awareness and education throughout the site to promote quality achievement and performance improvement. Assists in setting up and maintaining controls and documentation; charts and analyzes performance data and trends against defined parameters.
  • Leads selected Americas projects/initiatives as assigned. Requires cross-functional, cross-location influence and collaboration.
  • Ensures raw material and finished goods compliance to specifications and product standards.
  • Key contact for third-party ISO & customer audits.
  • Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge and capabilities in quality systems, continual improvement methods, metrology, and statistical applications through sharing of best practices across the Americas.
  • Is an active leader in the continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security for the site. Actively demonstrates and drives a culture of “Nothing Comes Before Safety”.
  • 10-25% travel to MCG ES&S Americas facilities, customers, and suppliers. May require some international travel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, ASQ level certifications: CQA, CQM, CQE with a minimum of 5-10 years Quality management related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • 2-5 years supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of advanced quality concepts, SPC, Design of Experiments, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Excellent MS Office, MRP system and Minitab skills
  • Product compliance knowledge and understanding. Ability to assess compliance, conduct reviews and provide oversight and guidance to the organization. (REACH, RoHs, Clean Water Act, Industry Specific (eg. Food Industry), etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities of varying complexities
  • Ability to interact and influence others at various levels and across sites in the organization
  • Team Player; recommends, develops, and leads Quality initiatives

The salary range for this position is $89.350 - $110,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
