Description
Our premier client is seeking a Third Shift Quality Inspector to set up, operate, and clean equipment in a clean concept manufacturing environment. Primary responsibilities will include running simple machines, inspecting of parts cut from laminate or membrane, and performing testing. It may be expected that this person will cross-train in the long term, with cross-training possibilities including various production equipment and processes, including Testing, Packaging, Roll Goods Inspection, Heat Treating, and other machine operation. Other responsibilities include perform detailed and accurate record keeping and process documentation; perform data entry and systems transactions; follow written specifications and work instructions; participate in continuous improvement activities; learn, support, and practice the company culture; and following Clean Concepts and ISO guidelines.

Qualifications

Required:

• Commitment to meet or exceed manufacturing schedules
• Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Experience in prioritizing and performing multiple tasks
• Demonstrated manual dexterity, attention to small details, ability to make good product decisions, and the ability to adapt to changes quickly
• Documentation and basic math skills
• Ability to lift (up to 35 lbs.), bend, and inspect for extended periods of time
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn more advanced computer applications
• Experience running simple mechanical equipment
• Willingness to work overtime

Desired:

• Attention to detail and experience working within a defined Quality System; following written instructions and making good, product-quality decisions
• Ability to make decisions within gray area (demonstrated understanding of personal waterline)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Adapt to schedule changes; flexibility to work in alternate areas, or work alternate shifts, or overtime as needed
• Basic math and computer skills with ability to learn more advanced computer applications
• Experience in successfully managing multiple, often conflicting, priorities
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a functional team environment
• Able to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis
