Position Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer II is part of team committed to ensure 24/7 access to mission-critical applications and services are available to users.
The Quality Assurance Engineer II position is a part of a team that supports the SecD Development Portfolio. The team utilizes the agile development process. The QA Engineer will be integral in performing testing, analyzing customer requests, gathering requirements and helping the team adhere to agile methodology and scrum ceremonies. Key skills needed for the position include experience testing web applications, strong verbal and written skills.
The position is located in Patriots Plaza II in the District of Columbia and allows for 30% on-site work and the rest remote. Additional onsite days are only required based on mission needs.
Role Requirements
The Quality Assurance Engineer II is responsible for creating software test and automating test cases, performing application testing, validating bugs, and isolating issues. The QA Engineer will be writing and initiating tests and then analyzing and reporting the test results in the ticketing system. The QA Engineer will also create test plans to support application testing.
- Minimum of 3 years of documented and demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance role within a software development project.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (1 year of education = 1.5 years of experience)
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite including Jira and Confluence
- Experience with the Agile Scrum and Kanban frameworks/methodologies
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
- Must have an active Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience with SQL, Eclipse, Gitlab and working in an Amazon Web Services Environment
- Experience with automated testing using tools such as Selenium or Test NG
