Job Description
VBA Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) is responsible for providing eligible program participants with compensable service-connected disabilities, all services and assistance necessary to enable them, to the maximum extent possible, to become employable, to obtain and maintain suitable employment, and achieve maximum independence in daily living.
The Project Coordinator must have experience in creating, applying and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and creating reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Point of contact to communicate project status to all participants and coordinate project activities and resources
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Understand and comply with Cognosante’s COMPASS Project Management methodologies
  • Other duties as assigned by project leadership

Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Discipline or related (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Experience in performance progress, and able to identify and mitigate risks
  • Experience in the creation of routine and ad hoc reports
  • Demonstrated experience with complex projects in a SAFe Agile environment
  • Experience in creating, applying and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with the Federal Government, Department of Veterans Affairs a plus
  • Experience with Jira, working with Scrum Teams, and Scrum ceremonies
  • Strong customer relationship capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to foster collaborative work in dynamic team environment
  • Management skills to select, develop, mentor, and motivate team members
  • Ability to interact with partners and clients
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization, with both verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio, One Note, Outlook)
  • Able to pass a background check to obtain a VA Public Trust clearance
Compensation
$27.10 - $45.25
The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may will be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante’s total compensation package for employees and is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee.
