Program Manager - MSP Equity Fund Accelerator

Location: Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN

Salary: $55K - $65K

gener8tor is looking for an accelerator Program Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the MSP Equity Accelerator and assist with other operations across all of gener8tor’s Investment Accelerator programming. This includes recruiting and interviewing startups, organizing program kickoff events, coordinating weekly program events such as startup meetings, cohort community-building events and mentor networking events and organizing showcase events.

gener8tor’s turnkey platform for the creative economy connects startup founders, musicians, artists, investors, universities and corporations. The gener8tor platform includes pre- accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, conferences and fellowships.

gener8tor’s accelerator programs invest $100K in each of five, high-growth startups and provide 12 weeks of mentorship-driven, cohort-based programming.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Managing Director, coordinate the logistics and ensure the operational success of all aspects of the MSP Equity Accelerator throughout the entire accelerator cycle from company recruitment through showcase including recruitment, company selection and cohort programming.
• Responsibilities include event management, utilizing tools and developing processes to manage program data, managing and scheduling the 3-month programming calendar, and execution of showcase.
• Work closely with the Managing Director to develop new strategies, assess program strengths, improve program processes, address areas of improvement and ensure the program is following best practices as outlined by gener8tor.
• Build relationships with partners, participants, mentors, investors, and the startup community.
• Actively participate in all aspects of the gener8tor accelerator program including weekly team meetings, mentor swarms, investor swarms and Lunch & Learns.
• Assist the Managing Director in growing the network of mentors, potential customers, investors and applicants.
• Be the #1 cheerleader for the gener8tor accelerator cohorts.
• Continuously support gener8tor accelerator alumni.
• Represent gener8tor in the local community and ecosystem which includes actively participating in the Minnesota startup ecosystem by attending events and building relationships.
• Assist other Investment Accelerator programs with Program Manager responsibilities when not recruiting or in-program for the MSP Equity Accelerator.
• Support your gener8tor teammates across multiple programs.
• Meet with the founders 1:1 on a weekly basis to provide concierge-like service.

Qualifications

• Experience with operations, logistics, project management and/or event planning is required
• Effective communicator and ability to collaborate across departments, partners, and external audiences
• Strong interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital
• Past experience in team support
• A strong team player willing to get hands-on
• Professional written and verbal communication skills

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

• Past experience in leading or supporting a tech startup accelerator or incubator
• Past experience in a tech startup or coaching startups
• Passion for tech startups and entrepreneurship
• Preference will be given to applicants based in Minnesota

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities and external relationships.
• Willingness to intensively and rapidly dive deeper into the startup and venture capital communities even if already familiar.
• Flexibility to travel up to 25%, work some nights and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
