We are looking for a professional to join our Byhalia, MS team as a Production Lead- Nights.
The Production Lead assists in the on-shift production of ceiling tiles in accordance with plans, product specifications, quality and procedures. In addition, assists the Production Supervisor in the tasks of job direction, training of employees

Essential Functions:
- Directs General Operations and schedules breaks for efficient operating and planned output.
- Assists with setup of line equipment in senior machine operation areas
- Production Lead must be able to work in the role of General Operator, Technical Operator, Technical Waste Water Operator & Senior Operator (Format, Milling & Paint)
- Controls all work on shift in accordance with direction given by the Production Supervisor
- Assists in training of all Operators in all aspects
- Ensures waste is limited when and where possible
- Understands how to read and follow the production schedule
- Reports malfunctioning equipment, assist maintenance with repairs and if necessary.
- Ensures all packaging material is clearly available so there is no waste due to packaging changes.
- Assists Supervisor in achieving Process Key Figures goal.
- Is stand in for the Production Supervisor in case of absence
- Any other tasks, directed by the Supervisor or Production Manager, that might need to be done on the day
- Ensures changeovers are planned, prepared and executed in a safe and effective way.
- Required machinery and equipment is operating in a safe and reliable manner.
- Ensured products are produced within specification, with awareness of delivery time and overall cost.
- Responsible for operating and troubleshooting of all line machinery.
- Maintain accurate records in logbooks, document daily work activities, and update machine information as required.
- Works in close cooperation with Stone Wool line to ensure a collaborative working relationships.
Basic Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job does require good manual dexterity, eyesight and mobility. The position requires a high level of concentration.
Must be capable of performing the following with effective results and without personal injury:
- The ability to lift 60 pounds
- The ability to lift to 120 pounds with another person
- The ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height
- The ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions for 12 hours daily
- The ability to use sharp objects in a safe manner
- Ability to wear protective + safety equipment
