About Dune

Dune Jewelry is a woman owned Small Business just outside of Boston, MA. We create Experiential Jewelry by capturing your most cherished memories in our handcrafted designs. We incorporate sand and natural elements from thousands of memorable and iconic locations around the world that we catalogue in our Sandbank. You can also send your own unique elements for a truly bespoke design. The idea? “Live for the moment, then take it with you.”

Our team members represent a wide range of personalities and backgrounds, all focused on making our customers happy and supporting one another. As a small business we all wear different hats and no one is afraid to step up and help when support is needed. We’re looking for someone who is excited to build on this position and grow with this team, who is a great collaborator but can work independently to get the work done.

About the Positions Available (note you will eventually be cross-trained in these position and more)

Full Time Sand Artist

• Must have an artistic eye
• Create beautiful jewelry every day using our patented process to inlay Natural Elements into over 700 designs.
• Detail oriented to spot flaws in jewelry findings or bubbles in resin
• Ability to accept 3-6 months-based training process by our expert Sand Artists to improve the communication skills and attention to details
• Ability to ask questions and solve problems independently and through interaction with coworkers
• Ability to receive and react to constructive feedback of your work
• Aptitude and dexterity to work with your hands and special tools including sand, pressed flowers as well as pliers, jewelers’ resin, toothpicks, dental tools and more
• Reading and comprehension of detailed order notes that include important instructions from customers
• Organization and cleanliness are a must in order to keep a clean work station

Full Time Packaging & Quality Control Specialist

• Assessing jewelry for any flaws
• Light assembly (adding chains to pendants, charms to bangles, etc)
• Reviewing all orders carefully to ensure they were produced correctly
• Adhere to strict shipping timelines
• Adhere to packaging standards and procedures for a variety of wholesale customers, retail customers, and online web partners
• Maintain focus and organization
• Collaborate with team members to continue improving our processes
• Proactive problem solving
• General Skills/Qualifications:
• Must have an eye for detail
• Jewelry and manufacturing experience a plus but will train the right person
• Willingness to learn and grow with a small business
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable with repetitive daily tasks
• Must be a team player
• Ability to work under pressure in high-volume periods
• Innovative problem solver

Location & Schedule

• Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9-5PM (flexible schedule is available once training period has passed, usually 2-6 months)
• Overtime is available
• Black Out Months are April (pre-Mother’s Day), November and December, must be available for a fixed holiday schedule for those 3 months.
• Job location: 935 Washington St. Norwood, MA (please look up commute before applying)
