Department Overview The PSM team leads ASTRO Site Infrastructure Product Management, comprised of 16 product categories, and performs Product Planning for Avigilon, Edesix, Vigilant, Pelco, NITRO, PCR, and Mission Critical IoT. It is also responsible for both LTE dropship orderability through postwarranty field support. The PSMs play multiple business critical roles in

Supplier Management serving as the principal contact for account and field teams for product identification, product inquiries, orderability readiness and field issues
Production Readiness Systems Utilization SMEs on 3PV product orderability and corresponding Motorola systems Oracle EBS, Agile, COF, OMAR, iProcurement, OCC and pCAT
Purchasing Support assisting Solutions Engineering, Field PMs and Engineering, and Labs through the expeditious identification and procurement of 3PV HW and SW
Portfolio Management managing product lifecycles, including product changes, enhancements and EOS; product inquiries; Cost and List Price administration; and margin analysis
HardwareSoftware Support Contract Administration validating that SLAs align with Customer SLAs; driving support agreement completion, equipment trueups and contract renewals
Job Description
The Product Support Management PSM team is responsible for supplier management, orderability readiness, product portfolio management, and purchasing support for Third Party Vendor 3PV products utilized in ASTRO, PCR, Broadband, DAS, fixed and mobile video, and products manufactured by MSI acquisitions. These products comprise the offerings of over 375 dropship vendors, 55 of whom participate in MSIs Preferred vendor program.

The PSM team also serves as an escalation point for internal customers, for matters relating to product identification and ordering, general inquiries, field hardware quality, and repair. For ASTRO site infrastructure, the team owns a P&L comprised of sixteen product categories.

Responsibilities include product lifecycle management, pricebook administration, product orderability, meeting margin goals, and supporting field inquiries, while managing and mitigating risk.

Specific KnowledgeSkills

Bachelors degree required

343; years of product managementadministrationplanning experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry

PMPPMI certification a plus

Experience with Motorolas enterprise systems Oracle EBS, Agile, CPQ, OSS, Tableau puts candidate at considerable advantage

Innate skill in quickly becoming a subject matter expert on products and internal processes; Able to play key role in maintaining and optimizing ERP systems via enhancement requests

Must have strong relationship development and maintenance skills; Work partners include teams and vendors in the US, Asia and Europe, and remote partners across the US

Ability to utilize multiple IT systems, with minimal training

Strong project management skills to coordinate and drive issues between Engineering, HW Quality, Procurement, and suppliers

Financial management acumen to understand and report on product profitability goals and other team goals

Capable of working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external groups, including Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Engineering, customers and channel partners

Minimal travel required

This is a hybrid working position. The candidate is expected to be in the office 23 days per week, especially during the initial 6 months of the job.
