As the Process Safety Management Coordinator you will direct the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) compliance systems at the plant level and provides leadership and technical expertise to manage the programs to assure compliance with PSM/RMP regulatory requirements. Bonus points if you have a degree/diploma in a technical utilities field such as mechanical, electrical, refrigeration or HVAC.


HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Overall Program Management ensuring the facility goals and objectives are met and appropriate resources are available. Ensuring the development and maintenance of procedures and training.

  • Employee & Contractor Participation in Ammonia Awareness, PSM and RMP training.
  • Process Safety Information - Ensures that the process safety information is developed, consolidated, and maintained.
  • Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) - Ensures that PHA studies are performed per stated scope, purpose and objectives and all recommendations identified are resolved and documented in a timely manner.
  • Pre-Startup Safety Review - Ensures that pre-startup safety reviews are conducted to ensure that modifications are installed in accordance with approved design standards, new procedures are developed prior to start-up of a modified facility or that existing procedures are modified accordingly, and that all personnel are trained on the procedures.
  • Mechanical Integrity - Identifies and maintains the equipment list. Ensuring inspection and testing of the equipment is planned, scheduled, recorded, and managed according to good engineering practices. Establishes and implements quality assurance procedures for the mechanical integrity activities.
  • Hot Work Permit - Has the ultimate responsibility for the hot work permit process. Designates individuals who are able to authorize /hot work.
  • Other responsibilities include: Incident Investigation, Emergency Response Planning, Compliance Audits, Hazard Assessment and Accident History tracking.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Refrigeration safety, environment and statutory inspections. (OSHA, EPA)
  • Knowledge of Refrigeration plant operation and technology. (Refrigerants, Cooling Fluids, Water Treatment, HVAC, Electrical and Controls)
  • Knowledge of quality requirements for cooling fluids (Water, Glycol, Brine, etc.) should it come in contact with the product
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions
  • Good Communication skills and service-minded.
