Job description
Waitsfield Elementary School is seeking a .5 FTE Preschool teacher. The successful candidate will have strong teaching skills and will be empathetic, flexible and resourceful in helping each child succeed. Candidates should have have strong collaborative skills, familiarity with Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS), and Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports. Joyfulness, appreciation of play as a critical vehicle for learning, and knowledge of the Reggio Emilia philosophy are also strongly desired.This teacher will work in collaboration with the existing early education team, co-teaching with the current preschool teacher. The schedule is M/W/F, 7:30 - 2. A valid Vermont teaching license and HQT status is required.
