Northland Staffing Solutions is currently hiring for a Powder Coater in Bloomington, MN. 1st shift is available. The ideal candidate must have previous experience with powder coating in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements of the Powder Coater position:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to read blueprints and work instructions
• Knowledge of powder paint systems and applications
• Familiar with inspection processes and systems controls
• Setup experience specific to this type of position
• Understanding of material properties
• Good communication skills
• Detail oriented, eye/hand coordination and mechanical ability
• Able to work from job ticket, manuals or verbal instructions
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities of the Powder Coater position:

• Apply powder coat paint to production parts, ensuring customer quality requirements are met
• Move freely to any paint line function to maximize production flow and overall efficiency
• Working knowledge of job and workflow in assigned department
• Understanding of paint processes and set up ability for all equipment, systems, and tools throughout the assigned department
• Understanding of paint processes and systems to include chemical systems, testing and monitoring, part masking and hanging techniques, standard work documentation, paint application, and all aspects of paint quality testing.
• Able to move to any point during the process and work to maximize production in a team environment.
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Notify manager/supervisor of any concerns
• Use appropriate tools and equipment necessary to perform the job, including inspection equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
