Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent postdoctoral scientist will be involved in molecular mapping of disease-resistance genes in soybean. He/she will be able to work on two serious soybean diseases. Research activities include, but are not limited to, evaluation of the soybean lines to one of the pathogens under field conditions, designing molecular markers, and genetic mapping.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Plant Science-related areas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two publications in plant genetics or genomics areas published in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experiences in statistical data analyses for genome wide association studies, quantitative trait loci, single Mendelian genes
