ROLE SUMMARY
The Access & Patient Solutions Lead is a critical leader on the team whose focus is to thoroughly understand the sickle cell disease patient journey and partner with cross-functional partners to create tactics that help patients start and stay on therapy and develop the optimal patient journey. This individual will partner with cross-functional partners to enable access and ensure adherence to medication from both an HCP & patient perspective. This position will be responsible for strategy and operational excellence in support of the
patient journey. The role requires strong marketing execution, communication, and decision-making skills, change agility, and a proven track record of success working in a team-based environment with multiple marketing, medical, and other cross-functional partners.
The Access & Patient Solutions Lead will lead efforts to:
  • Continue to understand and address patient needs in obtaining and staying on medicine
  • Offer innovative solutions to facilitate patient access to valued medicines
  • Own the strategic direction of our full suite of patient support programs
  • Act as the marketing partner to our access navigator team specialty pharmacy and HUB services team
  • Lead strategy and tactics to optimize Adherence and Retention across both professional and patient channel
This role requires an experienced marketer who has extensive US specialty marketing experience, with a passion on optimizing the patient journey and helping patients start and stay on medication. This role will lead a broad cross-functional team focused on optimizing Adherence and Retention for patients on Oxbryta.
This position reports to the US SCD Marketing Team Lead.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities for the role include:
  • Act as the lead marketer to support full patient journey across stakeholders
  • Set the strategic direction, design and promotion of all patient adherence programs across both access support programs and specialty pharmacies
  • Partner closely with Pfizer’s Specialty Access Solutions organization in managing access and adherence programs
  • Partner with access solutions team to create/modify:
  • call guides, training, and ongoing oversight of the access support program
  • Marketing materials communicating the access program offerings
  • Co-Pay Savings Program
  • Innovate and advance novel patient support and adherence initiatives
  • Partner with the PAL team to educate on patient support and adherence
  • Lead to provide support, educational materials and access training for a variety of teams, including Field Reimbursement, Patient Affairs, Medical).
  • Contribute to quarterly POA imperatives and agendas
  • Conduct RC review of all access and adherence content across hcp and consumer
  • Partner with Oxbryta marketers to enable appropriate patient education and compliance.
  • Partner with SP team to manage enhanced services contracts with specialty pharmacies; support innovative SP pilots; review consumer materials to ensure appropriate access content is highlighted
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional team members including Medical, Legal, Customer Insights and Analytics, PHI, Health and Economic Outcomes Research, Corporate Affairs, Communications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • >10 years healthcare industry experience
  • Substantial brand planning / brand strategy development experience
  • Specialty experience required
  • High scientific aptitude with a demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate emerging data in a rapidly evolving therapeutic area (sickle cell disease)
  • Prior experience in Rare Disease is a plus, but not required.
  • Proven ability to proactively lead the thinking - connect, communicate, influence and persuade.
  • Successful track record of delivering commercial growth and driving performance through teams.
  • Ability to liaise with many different functions and colleagues and lead by influence effectively to implement strategies with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including capabilities for uncovering deep customer insights, and acting upon customer needs.
  • Market research experience or significant engagement with market research in numerous projects.
  • Experience representing opportunities and brand plans to senior leadership.
  • Hands-on experience leading communication platforms, managing agencies and/or other related projects.
  • Experience interfacing/collaborating with Regulatory, Medical, Legal and other functions.

Position requires domestic travel up to 15% of time

Work Location Assignment: On Premise
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,900.00 to $261,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
