Job description

West Feliciana Hospital is looking for a skilled part-time Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be able to move around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important. Additional responsibilities include working the cash register, stocking/maintaining serving/dining area, and some housekeeping duties.

SHIFT HOURS:

• 4-hour and 8-hour shifts up to 29 hours/week as needed.
• Guaranteed 16 hours a week.

SKILLS:

• Experience as cook in a professional setting with experience in a medical facility preferred.
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.).
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.50 per hour
