Responsibilities:
The Oaks outpatient programs incorporate a range of services to adolescents, adults and seniors, including; physician oversight, medication management, group therapy practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and clinical assistance tailored to help our clients achieve their treatment goals. Offering premiere behavioral health services for individuals experiencing psychiatric and /or substance abuse symptoms that negatively affect daily functioning.
The Outpatient Therapist performs varied therapeutic and case management services for The Oaks Outpatient Program (Part of the Heritage Oaks Hospital Family of Services). Therapeutic functions include (but not limited to biopsychosocial assessment and creation of treatment plans; formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and/or support groups that assist patients in meeting their treatment goals; crisis intervention; short-term and long-term family therapy; and providing information and referrals as needed. Incumbent is responsible for treatment planning and other case management functions that enables patients to reach their optimal level of emotional health including (but not limited to) participating in the development of an interdisciplinary treatment plan; ensuring that the treatment plan has specific measurable goals, objectives, interventions, and current; collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment team in planning for discharge and follow-up care.

Experience: One year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills is preferred but not required. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically-related mental health field, and LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC licensure with the state of California (BBS) in good standing.
