Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist - Inpatient Oncology

The Johns Hopkins Health System is looking for Nurse Educators to join their growing team! As a Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist (NPPDS), you would be servicing Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, as well as, The Johns Hopkins Hospital East Baltimore Campus. In this role, you would be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and activities for various nursing departments. You will play a vital role in leading change in pursuit of improved nursing practice and professional development.

This specific position will support Inpatient Oncology. You will be responsible for creating and implementing structures and processes that support the standard onboarding, education, and ongoing competencies of oncology nurses. This will also include opportunities to participate in the development of centralized education initiatives across our nursing education department. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience in an academic medical hospital and experience in the field of oncology and nursing education.

Who Should Apply:

  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Active BLS CPR certification
  • 5 years of nursing experience. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting in the specialty of oncology.
