Neurology Assistant (Full-time Days)
Job description
Applies neurological treatment items/technologies to patients upon the order of a physician. Assists in the care of the neurology patient. Assists with minor office procedures. Schedules surgeries and assists with office duties.
34-40 hours per week. Medical assistant or LPN preferred. Candidate will be responsible for rooming patients, post op dressing changes, staple removal, surgery pre-certification, surgery scheduling.
Education and Training
High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Attendance and graduation from Neurological Technology program preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant required.
- BLS required.
Experience
- Two (2) to four (4) years experience preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Medical terminology required.
- Must have and maintain technical computer skills.
