Position Background:

The Network Engineer will be supporting both ACS International Resources and Inspiroz brands’ client partners. As our team grows with our growing the number of client partners that we support, the Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the integrity of clients’ overall technological infrastructure, and delivering exceptional service that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability.


Job Description:

  • Provide primarily onsite engineering services to our Clients
  • Perform rack/stack and replacement of network/server hardware
  • Perform onsite visits to review for ongoing new network building/construction progress
  • Act as Field Network Engineer for new Client Onboarding Documentation
  • Determine whether problems are caused by hardware or software and troubleshoot incidents remotely and onsite, as applicable
  • Evaluate each call to classify the nature, affected users, systems, hardware, and services and determine appropriate response and referral
  • Handle installing, configuring, and supporting network devices and services(ex: routers, switches, firewalls, VPN)
  • Procurement of equipment like routers or switches providing the best possible efficiency to Client's IT Infrastructure that meet Client's business objectives and SLAs
  • Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure system availability and reliability
  • Meet team SLA(time to response, time to resolve). Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within SLA
  • Services consistently meet or exceed each Client's expectations
  • Oversee IT Technician Team on installing, testing, and resolving with workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software
  • Draft SOP documents when doing Project work, as needed
  • Projects on an as-needed basis
  • 50-70% Travel – NY to DC (predominantly PHL & NYC)
  • This role also requires the engineer to be available after hours/over the weekend for scheduled projects.

What Our Ideal Candidate Will Bring:

  • 5+ years with an IT services organization
  • 3-5 years of Network Engineering experience
  • Set expectations with each Client/Team member, then meet or exceed those expectations
  • Communicate with each Client, daily, status of their issue and document in ConnectWise. Keep them informed of incident progress, notify them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Perform excellent, proactive technical services including implementing and supporting:
  • WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • VPN, Terminal Services
  • System documentation, consulting, system reviews and recommendations
  • Experience with Window troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and communicates effectively
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to clearly and provide detailed documentation for processes and standards
  • Availability and flexibility for Network-related projects(after hours and/or weekend scheduled projects)
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
