Your purpose

We are looking for a personable, innovative, and dedicated manager, with extensive management experience, to join our team as Advo Health expands its Personal Independence Payment (PIP) service provision.

You will hold accountability for two key areas of the business:

1. The operational delivery of PIP services to Advo Health's client

2. The continual development of our internal operational processes

You will meet with the client regularly and be accountable for all national operational matters including – but not limited to, production of on-going volume forecasts, delivery against forecast, ensuring efficiency and value of service delivery, delivery against operational KPIS, providing senior management support in relation to facilities, health and safety, HR and governance issues and being an active member of the health and safety committee and any other relevant committee's representing Advo Health.

It will be important to develop a strong working relationship with the client; responding effectively to feedback and challenging where appropriate. You will lead on the identification of operational improvements, formulation of action plans to resolve any issues and the subsequent delivery of changes. It will also be your responsibility to effectively engage with key internal stakeholders to continually improve our processes at a national level, which will include the governance, communications, IT, facilities and HR functions. You will be responsible for setting up operational improvement projects and ensuring key actions are identified and followed through (such as process changes).

How your role fits within our team

You will work closely with the Head of Government Services to feed into national operations meetings and deliver key operational projects. You will also work in collaboration with the National Performance Manager to ensure that operational and clinical performance are closely aligned.

Key responsibilities

  • To ensure excellent delivery of services to Advo Health's client through the early resolution of issues/escalations, focused attention on operational KPIs and the effective delivery of any key projects/changes
  • To work closely with the National Performance Manager to align operational service delivery improvements with clinical performance projects
  • To support the Head of Government services to deliver on key contractual obligations for the client
  • To line manage, develop and lead the regional managers, customer support team manager, operations manager and service development lead. It will be predominantly through your leadership that the management team will disseminate key information, changes, and improvements into the network.
  • To maximise volume output of the Advo network and meet budgeting targets
  • To feed into various operational meetings, in support of the Head of Government Services, to identify and deliver key operational improvement projects
  • To continually improve and develop the relationship between the Advo network and Ascenti's central functions, such as:
  • Working closely with HR and Head of Government Services to deliver key people strategies, including taking accountability for the Advo recruitment and retention plan
  • Clarifying and agreeing how certain functions can best support the network and ensuring clear lines of accountability are communicated – for example for governance and facilities functions
  • Identifying how the network can support the various campaigns run by the communications team and vice versa
  • Communicating with the IT team to develop effective processes that best suit the business

Knowledge experience and qualifications

We welcome applications from individuals with relevant management or leadership experience and preferentially a clinical or healthcare background. Experience within a government services contract is also desirable

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to challenge appropriately

  • Ability to engage and influence senior leaders to bring about effective business change
  • Good writing and computer / IT literacy skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as a manager
  • Positive, emp athetic, and professional manner
  • Able to work under pressure, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Highly organised with an ability to utilise foresight effectively
  • Relevant and extensive management experience at a senior level
  • Relationship management experience with external clients and key internal stakeholders
  • Experience in capacity forecasting

Desirable

  • Post-graduate Management or leadership qualification
  • Experience in operationally managing healthcare or government services including Personal Independence and Employment and Support Allowance
