Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience preferred

Master’s degree preferred

Experience with designing and facilitating engaging professional learning for adults

Knowledge and application of evidence-based instructional strategies

Experience with KESA school improvement and Kansas MTSS
-
Capable of supporting teachers and administrators in the areas of social-emotional learning and behavior management
-
Excellent communicator, collaborator, and listener
-
Comfortable supporting educators of all levels and content areas, PreK-12
-
Support the design and implementation of a strategic plan for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) system processes with an emphasis on Tier 1 core instruction and evidence-based instructional strategies
-
Assist with the redesign and implementation of the Andover Instructional Framework
-
Support the creation and use of district scope and sequence documents
-
Collaborate stakeholders to redesign the district walkthrough tool
-
Design and facilitate professional learning and customized support to achieve district goals and implement district initiatives, including MTSS at all levels
-
Strengthen instruction and teacher collective efficacy through the development and implementation of professional learning communities and collaborative inquiry cycles
-
Foster teacher leadership development
-
Assist with establishing systems and structures for effective professional learning, including measuring impact
-
Participate in meetings and professional learning in order to convey and/or acquire knowledge and skills required to perform duties.

Develop data protocols and facilitate the analysis of student, educator and system data; use data for improvement
-
Help establish structures for measuring the impact of initiatives districtwide
-
Provide customized support to schools as they research, plan and implement system changes
-
Assist with the development and deployment of Individual Plans of Study
-
Strengthen teacher and administrator capacity in the areas of social-emotional learning and behavior management

Help analyze and create a multi-year plan for the Kansans Can Star Recognition Program

Performs other duties as assigned

Purpose: To support the attainment of Andover Public Schools District Goals and Portrait of a Graduate through system planning, professional learning, and customized support for educators and administrators
Qualifications:

Contract: This is a teacher contract and may include addendum days. The position will be funded with ESSER III and will only be guaranteed for the 2023-2024 school year.
