Des Moines Public Schools is seeking multiple math teachers to serve and support middle school students for the 2023-2024 school years.

• New to the Profession and Experienced Teachers are encouraged to apply.

Required Licensure/Endorsement:
Valid Iowa teaching license with the appropriate endorsement.
Candidates willing to obtain conditional licensure in this area will be considered.?

Highly Qualified Candidates for the position will also possess:
Previous classroom teaching experience.
Experience in an urban school district.

Salary Information:
Beginning teacher salary $45,392.00
DMPS does not have a cap on number of years experience considered in salary offers for career teachers.
Newly hired Math teachers are eligible for a $5000 hiring bonus.
Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.

• Enrollment in IPERS (Iowa Public Employee Retirement System)-a defined benefit plan

• Single and Family Health Insurance at no cost to the employee during the first plan year of employment (July 1 - June 30). Premium cost is $600/year after that.
