CANVAS is looking for a motion graphics designer that creates beautiful animations to inspire short attention spans and wandering eyeballs. Thumb-stopping motion design that makes people want to DM, tag, and text their friends. You will be responsible for developing animated content and graphics across channels, from paid & organic social to website assets, and everything in between. Working collaboratively with our Creative Director, Strategy, and Account Management teams, you will be involved in a variety of motion story-telling initiatives in multiple styles across a variety of industries.

Requirements

• You understand design/animation concepts including composition, color theory, typography, timing, and movement
• You know what's trending on social media and can create relevant content quickly
• You are a great collaborator and bring positive energy to the team around you.
• You are organized and are able to quickly address client feedback to make pixel-perfect updates
• You have familiarity with 3D animation
• Ability to work on multiple projects effectively, independently, and as part of a team
• Ability to receive creative feedback constructively and translate that feedback into actionable revisions that meet project objectives
• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to keep calm under pressure
• Possess a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to maintain consistency across all facets of a project
• Highly proficient design skills, and adept at Adobe Creative Suite applications
• Highly proficient in video software such as After Effects, PremierPro, Cinema 4D, etc.
• Experience creating websites, Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, etc.
• Experience and ability to shoot photo and video is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities

• As part of the team, you'll be collaborating with creative directors, art directors, designers, copywriters, and producers.
• Working on multiple projects at once, you go above and beyond each brief to push what's possible on both a creative and technical level.
• Work with Creative Director, junior designers, and content creators to develop motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for various media including video, web, and social
• Help brainstorm and develop concepts for new projects, considering project goals, brand guidelines, and target audiences
• Stay up to date with the latest and greatest in motion design and animation
• Support pre-production including research, asset collection, preliminary animations, prototypes, music sourcing, and file management
• Preps, organizes, and creates assets for animation and other various video projects
• Supports client and internal marketing initiatives by creating content

• 
  Salary Range:

• $70k - $90k
