Summary

The Monitor Tech is responsible for the setup of telemetry on physician orders by ensuring proper placement of electrodes, running strips, and replacing batteries as needed.

Responsibilities

The Monitor Tech performs general clerical duties by preparing, compiling and maintaining records in a hospital nursing unit.
The Monitor Tech maintains current and orderly chart files.
Answers telephone.
Records and relays messages.
Prepares routine, confidential, and/or special reports, documents, and records.
The Monitor Tech assist with quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience
Required: Successful completion of EKG class. Familiar with Medical Terminology.

Pay range: $19.50 Minimum - $23.41 Maximum an hour

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
