$28.96/Hour; $60,468 Annually

Job Description
This position provides professional mental health services to students at Dakota County Technical College. Services include but are not limited to individual and group therapy, case consultations, assessments and assistance for crisis intervention. In addition, the position will provide collaborative leadership in addressing student mental health concerns on campus, and development of educational programming for both students and staff on mental health related topics in compliance with the 2021 Minnesota Higher Education Legislation.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Psychology required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed professional counselor or psychologist in a college/university environment or in a private, or public practice
  • Experience in providing individual and group therapy
  • Current Minnesota Licensure as an LP or LPCC as of first day of employment
  • Demonstrated cultural competency in the field of counseling or psychology with experience serving diverse clients

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology
  • Minimum five years of experience as an LP or LPCC in a college/university environment or private or public practice
  • Experience supporting students from traditionally marginalized and underrepresented populations
  • Experience working in a higher education environment, specifically mental health center
  • Experience leading collaborative teams to develop programs

Founded in 1970 Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public, two-year technical college in Rosemount, Minnesota. DCTC offers about 150 programs that range from an AA, to a degree in pluming. DCTC will allows students the possibility to go right into work force after graduation. Students who graduate from DCTC gave a 90% chance of getting a job after graduation.

DCTC has over 2,000 students, and a very diverse culture. Students of color make up about 20 percent of the population. 35.2 percent of students are low income and eligible for Pell grants. Dakota County Technical College is a public two-year institution of higher education dedicated to the philosophy that there is dignity in all work and value in individual growth and learning.
