Position


BAI is currently hiring for a Medical Coordinator. A Medical Coordinator is an employee who takes care of any necessary medical responsibilities.


Position Qualifications:
18 years of age or older. Have a high school diploma or GED. Capable of communicating well in both the written and verbal form. Have good public relation skills in working with a variety of outside professionals and state employees.


General Responsibilities

  • Be available to work Monday – Friday during the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
  • Have good public relation skills.
  • Maintain individuals’ medical coverage through Medicaid.
  • Assist BAI nursing consultant with monthly medication quality assurance.
  • Work with pharmacy to ensure continued supply of individual’s medications.
  • Be proactive in looking for tasks which need to be completed.
  • Answer incoming and make outgoing business calls on multi-line telephone.
  • Schedule and cancel medical appointments for BAI individuals.
  • Be able to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word programs.
  • Compose necessary memos.
  • Process medical visit forms in a timely manner.
  • Complete daily reminder calls of medical appointments.
  • Dispose of medications according to BAI Policy and procedures.
  • Complete medication quality assurance checks in all BAI houses.
  • Establish and maintain Paratransit for qualifying individuals.
  • Make prescription and side effect packets for all BAI individuals.
  • Review completed MARs on a monthly basis.
  • Be professional in attitude, dress, and appearance.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in the workplace.
  • Maintain driver eligibility.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
