Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor on our 2nd Shift, that will play a key role on our Operations Team. In this role, the supervisor is responsible for overall performance. Leading the team to continuously improve performance, safety, quality, schedule, and cost while ensuring talent development of the team. Sets day-to-day activities and assists in managing and monitoring production operations, maintenance, inventory control, scheduling, and personnel.

Location: San Marcos, TX - (Greater Austin, TX Area)

Relocation considered.

2nd Shift

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), scheduling and personnel.
• Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
• Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.
• Ensures all quality-related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
• Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure the efficiency of operations and cost-effectiveness.
• Assists in scheduling so that production schedules are met.
• Assists in sequencings of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity.
• Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure the availability of materials and smooth operations.
• Monitors performance to maximize productivity.
• Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
• Manufacturing/Production experience required.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Available for 2nd shift hours
• Prior Supervisory experience is preferred
