Northrop Grumman Mission Systems
sector is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst for the Material to Vendor group at our Linthicum, MD campus. This position supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. This position will be responsible for owning a designated group of customers, helping them create MTV requests, tracking the requests through the MTV process, prioritizing requests against other MTV group requests, monitoring and updating information pertaining to MTV requests, and/or similar tracking/prioritization/coordination/organization/support efforts. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

What You'll get to Do:

  • Planning, organizing, and controlling the timely flow of product through the Material to Vendor area supporting both internal and external customer delivery requirements
  • Serving as the primary interface between Program Representatives, Production Management, Operations Program Management, Production Material Control Specialists, Kitting and Inventory Management, as well as interfacing with Engineering and Quality
  • Review MTV requests and help organize, prioritize, status, and complete requests
  • Providing status and material movement of hardware through several MTV processes including, Floor Return Requests, C/T Make Buy Requests, Manual Kitting Pulls, and any other Material to Vendor movement required by stakeholders
  • SAP metric maintenance, SAP material movement, SharePoint metric database maintenance

Basic Qualifications for a Manufacturing Analyst:

  • 3+ Years of experience in operations, manufacturing, customer service or related with Bachelors; 1+ Years of experience in operations, manufacturing, customer service or related with Masters
  • Experience with MSOffice
  • The successful candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, presentation, problem resolution, and process improvement skills; and be comfortable communicating with internal and external customers, as well as working in cross functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Operations Business Systems (SAP preferred)
  • Experience in one or more areas of manufacturing operations
  • Experience in MRP and Production Control


Salary Range: $67,000 USD - $100,400 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
