Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible to oversee, manage and maintain the maintenance programs and industrial projects while coaching the maintenance team. They are accountable for infrastructure (full and parts), energy supplied to the assets and Automation. The Maintenance Manager installs maintenance programs for utilities on site. Assure sustainability of equipment at the best cost. Assures energy supply and tracks and optimizes the energy consumption for the site. Owns the spare parts warehouse management. He manages and develops the site maintenance team. Compliant with electrical and mechanical local, group and governmental legislations. Energy expert/officer for improvement and continuation (boiler steam, gas, electricity, water, air). Report and Benchmark with other sites and HQ.

Salary Range: $92,000 - $110,500 depending on experience

Key responsibilities include:
  • Investigate and recommend continuous improvements, in terms of productivity, efficiency, safety, quality and reduction.
  • Investigate and lead maintenance cost reduction, in term of
    • downtimes
    • Preventative and planned maintenance
    • Spare parts management
    • PLC and Controls management
    • Outsourced maintenance costs
    • Troubleshoot process equipment to identify potential errors and develop solutions to eliminate the recurrence of problems
  • Optimize spare parts control, utilization, spending, common practice with group expectations.
  • Ensure sustainability of infrastructure safe-guarding: maintenance program, projects.
  • Evaluate existing preventive maintenance plans and integrate into site plan.
  • Supports 100% MAXIMO system. Is back-up to safe-guard continuity and use.
  • Assures a proper spare parts system and controls the performance on all aspects.
  • Determine the parameters of the production process and prepare the optimal setup for each
  • Plan and execute industrial projects within budget and time frame including
    • Flow charts, drawings, engineering and specifications
    • Contractors’ consultations and quotation selection
  • Work planning, coordination, supervision and specification compliance
  • Must promote a safe working environment and good GMPs
  • Committed to providing a safe food product
  • Works within all regulatory requirements
  • Perform all other related duties as requested

About you:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or similar qualification (mechanical with electrical and controls design)
  • 4-7 years in a technical environment (preferably food or other process industries).
  • Experience with Automation, PLC systems (Siemens is preferred)
  • Experience in CAD drawing software such as AUTOCAD or SOLIDWORKS is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in cost reduction and financial statements. Negotiation skills.
  • Skilled in Energy Management.
  • Must be able to work within SOPs, SMP, ISO, HACCP and OSHA standards
  • Experience with processing equipment such as presses, mills, pumps, pneumatic conveyors, burners, hydraulic groups, compressors and steam generators or ejectors
  • Proven track record of problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must have experience within maintenance software - automation/spare parts management (SAP and Maximo is a plus).
  • Must be able to freely move around the entire factory
  • Design methods for maintaining or increasing production levels while improving production costs, yields, quality and safety
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
