Position Summary
Our factory in Waverly is located on the Cedar River in Northeast Iowa. Waverly is a beautiful, family-friendly town of 10,000 people. Waverly is also home to Wartburg college, a prestigious private collage, which gives Waverly a progressive, energizing college vibe.

The function of this position is: To work as a team member to operate and maintain various packaging equipment in a safe and productive manner. Respond to all line stoppages quickly, and return to operation through trouble shooting and repairing the problem. Complete overhauls and changeover duties. Perform preventative maintenance in order to prevent line stoppages. Maintain all required paperwork including but not limited to quality checks, production reports, and inventory documentation. To perform and understand quality checks and associated paper work in accordance with the Nestle QMS. To maintain general housekeeping and food safety related sanitation. To learn and adhere to good manufacturing practices. To support and contribute to a continuous improvement culture. Perform troubleshooting and equipment repair. Complete overhauls and changeover duties. Complete and understand all inventory transactions required for the position. Create and complete work orders and their associated parts transactions.

Shift:
  • 2nd shift (4pm to 12am)

Responsibilities:
  • Inventory consumptions and reversals
  • Quality checks/Line relief
  • Inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Repair and equipment troubleshooting- work order creating and completion
  • Operate and control line equipment
  • Equipment changeovers
  • General housekeeping and sanitation

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate written and orally in English.
  • Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.
  • Willing and able to work overtime.
  • Willing and able to work various shifts.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

$3000 sign on bonus, paid out as follows: $1000 at 30 days employment, $1000 at 6 months, and $1000 at 9 months
