Birchwood Manufacturing Company, a division of Besse Forest Products Group, is hiring highly motivated, team-oriented individuals to join our Veneer Mill Log Yard/ Utility Worker for our facility in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
The overall responsibilities of the Yard Operation position include the safe operation of heavy equipment including a Loader Forwarder with Grapple attachments throughout the Log Yard. Additional duties include:
- Load logs onto decks in safe manner
- Perform pre and post equipment inspections and report any findings to management.
- Grease equipment daily.
- Tacking plates onto logs
- Able to run a skid steer, payloader, log loader
- Able to do log check-ins & keep accurate paperwork
- Waxing logs.
Candidates must be able to work independently or as a team in all weather. There are physical requirements to this position.
