Legal Administrative Assistant (Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates)

The de la Torre Law Office LLC is a small law firm with a boutique estate planning, elder law, probate and trust administration, and Social Security Disability appellate practice. Our estate planning and elder law practice focuses on keeping families out of court and out of conflict through estate plans that protect what’s priceless: a client’s peace of mind, family, assets, and legacy. In our probate and trust administration practice, we help personal representatives and trustees find, value, protect, and distribute property after a loved one passes away. We provide all the guidance, support, and care they need so everything is handled without stress.

Who You Are

You are an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant with one to five years of experience, ideally in estate planning, elder law, and probate and trust administration. You are looking to advance with a growing firm. You are very detail-oriented, hardworking, dependable, responsive, and unafraid to ask questions. You may be looking for an employer to support you in your professional training and eventually become a paralegal or Registered Paralegal.

We are seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant for our Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Probate and Trust Administration divisions, with benefits including incentive and discretionary bonuses, participation in 401k plan, with employer matching, profit sharing, professional development programs, paid time off, and other benefits.

This is a position suitable for an experienced legal assistant with one to five years of experience at a law firm in estate planning, elder law, and probate and trust administration. This is an in-office position at our location near UCF and Oviedo.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting clients in the signing and notarizing of important documents

Supporting clients in the funding of trusts or in the re-titling of assets using attorney instructions

Meeting with clients, trustees, family members

Drafting correspondence, spreadsheets, and legal documents for attorney review using firm materials and procedures

Notarizing documents

Organizing and maintaining client files

Required Qualifications

· 1 to 5 years’ experience as a legal assistant, ideally working in estate planning, elder law, probate and trust administration matters

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Detail oriented

· Strong critical thinking skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Proficient in Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s preferred

· Florida Notary (or eligible and willing to become a Florida Notary)
