THE POSITION

Do you like working outdoors? Do you want to make a positive impact on our state parks while keeping visitors safe? A position as a Lake Erie Lifeguard Supervisor provides the chance to serve our customers at the beaches of Presque Isle State Park.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

• Full-time seasonal employment without benefits.
• Work days will vary, employee will work 5 of 7 days per work week, this includes holidays and weekends.
• Overtime occurs frequently at the end of a shift or may be called in early to a shift.
• May be required for travel to off-site training or emergency situations that arise.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two seasons of experience as a Lake Erie Lifeguard (commonwealth title); Or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Necessary Special Requirements:

• All employees must obtain a valid Lifeguard Certification or Lifeguard Management Certification issued by the American Red Cross, YMCA, United States Lifesaving Association, or other authority recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Health within 14 days of employment.
• All employees must obtain valid certifications in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR within 14 days of employment.
• This position requires possession of a valid motor vehicle license.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
