As a Barclays Microservices Java developer, you will be delivering innovative solutions in close collaboration with the Business. You will also perform the Optimizations and performance enhancements in case of any Producing performance degradation experienced and managing mentors the juniors in the team at different locations.

What will you be doing?

• Leading and delivering of the Projects as per the timelines
• Performing the Optimizations and performance enhancements in case of any Producing performance degradation experienced
• Participating in the Architecture level discussions for the new solutions/projects and assist Lead architect by providing ideas and inputs
• Managing and mentor the juniors in the team at different locations
• Representing the Build-the-Bank team in different forums like CTO discussions, RTB discussions and Business escalations
• Taking ownership and maintenance of java applications within Post Trade Technology
• Participating in daily scrum calls tied up to project deliveries for the Post Trade Settlements Team
• Troubleshooting production issues working with the bank's production support team

What we’re looking for:

• At least five overall years’ experience using Java J2EE based enterprise critical applications
• At least five years of experience in Java J2EE maintaining micro services using Apache Camel/Spring Integration EIP Framework on premise
• More than five years of experience in spring boot, Rest API & Microservices.
• At least three years of experience developing medium to large Applications using different Cloud technologies like AWS, Openshift/Kubernetes using docker

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Hands-on expertise in No-SQL database
• Good to have knowledge on AWS services – EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, ELB, Amazon API Gateway, Cloud watch & Elastic Beanstalk.
• Knowledge of SWIFT and/or Fix messages, which are used in finance domain
• Finance domain experience/Settlement system knowledge/previous experience
