$15.45/hour for about 9 hours a week

St. Charles Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is looking for an individual to provide routine day to day custodial services to our church building. This is a flexible position, 8 to 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday (Saturdays negotiable), between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. This position is eligible for paid vacation. Job training will be provided.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to go up and down stairs, as well as required bending, pushing, pulling and standing as needed to perform cleaning tasks.
• Work with cleaning agents and chemicals with the use of rubber gloves, masks or other safety equipment.
• Understand and speak English for general communication. Required work authorization for the United States.
• Pass criminal background check and drug testing.

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Responsibilities:

• Sweep, damp mop, vacuum floors.
• Dust furniture, window sills and other surfaces.
• Clean mirrors, glass doors and windows.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen and water fountain.
• Empty trash and recyclable receptacles.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies.
• Maintain an orderly janitor closet as well as maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Extra duties may incur during busy weeks, i.e. Vacation Bible School, summer camps, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.45 per hour
