About the role

As Internal Communications Partner, you will work as part of the wider Communications Team and lead on enhancing our communications activity to maximise leadership and colleague engagement.

The role can be worked on a hybrid basis from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire) with a requirement to be in the office a minimum of two days per week.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Advising and engaging the wider business in the creation of a central internal platform to emotionally connect our colleagues to our Pets at Home strategy and purpose
• Review and curate our internal communications channels to maximise colleague engagement, design and create impactful targeted tools and channels relevant to the audience and message
• Support the wider communications team to ensure the smooth delivery of the overarching calendar of activity and take a hands-on approach to shaping and delivering internal communications content.
• Work closely with the Head of Communications to provide senior leadership internal communications briefings ensuring a consistent narrative and tone of voice
• Curation of Executive team profiling activity across owned social media channels.
• Lead on the planning and delivery of communications for key transformation and change programmes:
• Establish a regular reporting system to measure impact and effectiveness of internal communications activity.

About you

The successful candidate should possess;

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of working across a broad range of media and channels
• Strong planning and organisation skills – ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and changing deadlines
• Strong technical competencies relevant to internal engagement and knowledge of effective communication models including digital and strategic engagement
