Inside Sales Consultant

Job purpose

The Commercial Sales Center Representative role will act as an account manager within a market sales center to provide consistent and effective customer service to the commercial roofing customers. The stated goal of the Commercial Sales Center Representative is to provide timely and comprehensive project quotations, technical assistance, pricing, order entry, scheduling, and effective communication to the sales team and customers.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent and comprehensive project quotations utilizing the sales team’s pricing direction
  • Continuous knowledge development with product and system education to effectively answer all technical questions
  • Subject matter expert for systems such as Mincron, Logic Track, Salesforce, and Beacon Pro Plus to effectively communicate benefits
  • Understand how to break apart customer orders based on material correlation and shipping points
  • Communicate with sales team to negotiate material costs for project orders prior to placing orders
  • Utilize Supply Chain, Branch Managers, and upcoming project orders to effectively fill out material trucks into warehouse
  • Create project schedules with the sales team and customers to clearly communicate all project deliveries

Qualifications

  • Required High School diploma and preferred Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of Job Tracking
  • Manufacturing product and system technical experience
  • Prior managerial experience with teams
  • Detailed oriented and time management skills will be utilized regularly to meet deadlines
  • Proficient experience utilizing business intelligence systems (Mincron, Salesforce, Logic Track, and Beacon Pro Plus)
  • Collaborative abilities to include other functions in the decision-making process
  • Maintains a valid driver's license

Working conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time behind a desk with a computer
  • Communication via phone or virtual calls will be a large portion of the daily tasks
  • May require local travel to meet with existing customers
