Key Areas of Responsibility include:
  • SCCM Infrastructure Administration and Operations:
    • Install & administer SCCM Primary & Secondary Server software, including Management Points
    • Install & administer SQL used for SCCM
    • Monitor application performance against accepted parameters.
    • Implement appropriate actions to control, correct, or improve SCCM performance.
    • Perform routine maintenance operations on the application (daily/weekly checks), including:
      • Updates to Express Metrics & ServiceNow database.
    • Ensure integrity of SCCM database.
    • Perform updates to the SCCM application as required (patches, hotfixes, service packs).
  • SCCM Infrastructure Support and Trouble Management:
    • Respond to, analyze, resolve and close Problem support tasks resulting from customer contact with the help desk and application monitoring. (Level 1 support)
    • Respond to, analyze, resolve and close Work Request support tasks resulting from customer requests to the help desk. (Level 1 Support)
    • Execute disaster recovery procedures for SCCM Primary, Secondary Servers, including Distribution Points & SQL Server.
    • Identify appropriate corrective action. (CLCA)
    • Provide 2nd/3rd level support for SCCM clients.
  • Software Distribution:
    • Create SCCM packages (for English & non-English clients).
    • Translate user-readable files (e.g., MoreInfo, pop-up windows) **
    • Distribute SCCM packages to clients in all regions.
    • Manage patches for all workstations & non-ITS servers.
    • Administer software metering feature of SCCM.
    • Distribute licensed software to individual clients.
    • Add/Remove Packages and modify description of package that is displayed on the SDC.
    • Provide 2nd-level support for software distribution problems.
  • Reporting:
    • Provide hardware & software inventory reports (~100 per month).
    • Provide software usage reports (software metering).
    • Administer Web Reporting site (add custom reports)
    • Customize hardware Inventory as per NCR requirements (Update SMS_DEF.MOF and Configuration.MOF
  • Installation Organizing/Coordination:
    • Coordinate administrative project activities, including scheduling, tracking, reporting, and change management, that impact components of the SMS infrastructure.
    • Complete metrics/utilization reporting on designated operational review cycles
  • Technical Communications and Consulting:
    • Present verbal and written technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Act as liaison or point of contact with customers, third parties, and internal organizations on technical issues.
  • Patching for managed workstations and servers:
    • Update and perform cleanup in WSUS on a regular basis
    • Approve and package security updates deemed necessary by security
    • Test and deploy updates to workstations and servers on an approved roll out schedule
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS or Associate Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Windows endpoint management utilizing industry standard tools
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using custom Windows Package creation and distribution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Windows interoperability with AD, LDAP and Kerberos experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting client and server environments, printing/firewall/routing technologies and industry standard networking technologies: (LAN/WAN, SMTP, VPN, DNS, DHCP)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with scripting in PowerShell or compatible language.
  • Experience of working in an international / large enterprise environment.
