This is a 6-MONTH CO-OP opporutnity starting Jan. 3rd until June 30th, 2023. This is located in Danvers, MA and schedule would be 4 days onsite (Mon-Thu), 1 day (Fri) work from home.

Your Role:

We are currently seeking a student to support projects for our Mobius Single Use franchise, within Integrated Supply Chain Operations. The position is located at our manufacturing site in Danvers, Massachusetts. Mobius products are used in pharmaceutical bioprocessing and include a variety of highly differentiated configurations and sizes. Every assembly we manufacture has been specially designed to meet a certain application for a specific customer.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for executing change by level loading value streams, improving cycle times, reducing lead times, improving productivity, reducing operating costs, and creating more efficient processes. The Industrial Engineering Co-Op will also conduct studies in operations to maximize workflow and area utilization, as well as ensure efficiency and workplace safety.

  • Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes to identifying value-added and nonvalue-added activities
  • Develop current and future state maps
  • Conduct time studies, perform sequence analysis and balance the workload to TAKT time
  • Supports analysis on the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
  • Responsible for the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
  • Develop visual controls and visual aids to ensure compliance in production
  • Work with cross-functional teams to acquire a better understanding of processes
  • Design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate and explore new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input to performance metrics.
  • Summarize and present project updates to leadership on a regular basis

Who You Are:

  • Rising Junior or Senior in a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent, studying an Engineering discipline
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Fundamentals of Industrial engineering
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing concepts and cGMP.
  • Strong ability to quickly absorb product and process knowledge is key
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • Goal oriented and works well with limited supervision
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and organized
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience with products and/or processes of a technical nature is preferred

Schedule: 4 days in the plant (Mon-Thu), 1 day (Fri) work from home
