Human Resources Generalist
Job description
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Recruitment, Employee Relations, Safety, Benefits Administration, and Employee Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment: assist in the recruitment and selection process by posting job openings, conducting initial screening of resumes and scheduling interviews
- Employee Relations: assist in the resolution of employee relations issues, conduct investigations as needed and provide guidance to managers on proper documentation and handling of employee relations issues
- Safety Programs: assist in the design and delivery of safety training programs and recordkeeping
- Benefits Administration: assist in the administration of employee benefits programs
- Employee Services: assist in the coordination of employee services, such as employee recognition programs, employee communications, and employee relations programs
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience using ADP or other payroll providers
- Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures
Physical Requirements:
Visual and Hearing: Must be able to see with corrective eye wear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance; prolonged period of deskwork (including computer work) required; must be able to lift 15 lbs unassisted.
