Technician must:

• Have a valid Driver's License with good driving record of at least 5 years***

• Have personal transportation to and from our main office in Chicopee

• Have a working cell phone and respond promptly to all calls from management

• Have a professional appearance

• Be dependable; able to show up on time, read and follow instructions

• Be physically fit; able to climb ladders, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at times

• Have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work quickly and efficiently

• Be able to work flexible hours; nights, early mornings

• Be able to work safely in both hot, cold, and/or inclement weather

• Be able to complete work projects from start to finish with limited supervision

• Be fluent in English; able to communicate well with customers and other team members

• Be able to learn new procedures quickly to assist with the exhaust cleaning process

• You will need to be able to access and tolerate small crawl spaces and work on roofs and ladders

Job duties include:

• The set-up and take-down of equipment including: hanging plastic sheeting, mixing degreasers, setting up ladders, wet/dry vacuums, garden hoses and high-pressure hoses

• Scraping & scrubbing greasy buildup from affected areas of kitchen exhaust systems

• Pressure washing the interior of kitchen exhaust systems (fans, ducts, filters and hoods)

• Final clean-up in kitchens by wiping down the hoods, mopping up the floors, etc.

• Reporting mechanical deficiencies of exhaust systems and/or company equipment to management

• Maintaining the cleanliness of company tools, equipment, and vehicles each night

• Sweeping out and vacuuming commercial driers

No experience required; on-the-job training will be provided. However, previous mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pressure washing, janitorial cleaning, or kitchen exhaust hood cleaning experience is a plus.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
