Salary offered commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

• Employing histological techniques in histology.
• Capable of performing all clerical/computer functions regarding workload, quality assurance, quality control, data entry, and report generation.
• Capable of performing lab tasks, including but not limited to: embedding, cutting and staining specimens.
• Is knowledgeable of all equipment operation and maintenance.
• Is knowledgeable of all policies and procedures of histology.
• Conducts all tasks compliantly with CLIA, and CAP regulations.
• Capable of communicating mechanical issues with service techs, fellow techs and lab supervisor and/or lab manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED plus 60 semester hours with a combination of 12 semester hours in biology AND chemistry, OR an associate degree with a combination of 12 semester hours in biology and chemistry (within or in addition to associate degree).
• Ability to work an occasional weekends and on-call duties.

• Required Qualifications:
• HT (ASCP) certification
• 3-5 years of full-time clinical experience in histopathology laboratory within the last five years.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
