Head Teacher

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Head Teacher
SALARY: *Based on educational qualifications
Level AA (Job Code #1042) - $20.67/hour; requires AA/AS
Level BA (Job Code #1049) - $21.98/hour; requires BA/BS
LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 40 hours per week; 10-11 months per year
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: English

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate Degree (Level AA) or
- Bachelors Degree (Level BA) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
- 3 or more units in child care administration completed with a grade "C" or better.
- 2 years’ experience working with young children and 1 year experience supervising adults.
- 3 Infant/Toddler units completed with a grade "C" or better Required.
- Must have Health and Safety Course; Admin Units
- Based on educational qualifications, the selected candidate will be hired with one of the following Job Codes: Job Code 1042 (AA), 1049 (BA)

**IMMUNIZATIONS REQUIRED.
Must be current on the following immunizations per Senate Bill 792 in the State of California. Current proof of shots must be provided before hire.
